Denard Robinson pleads guilty to driving offense

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/col...2_a7&eref=sihp

Quote:
BATH TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson has pleaded guilty to driving with a suspended license and remains eligible to play in the Outback Bowl against South Carolina.

Wolverines spokesman David Ablauf said Tuesday that Robinson paid a fine and faces no additional punishment from the school.

Bath Township police Lt. Lyle Lindemulder says Robinson was pulled over in the early morning hours of Nov. 4 for failing to signal and having an expired license plate tag. The Clinton County district court clerk's office says Robinson pleaded guilty Monday.

Robinson is one of the all-time NCAA leaders in career rushing yards by a quarterback. After sustaining an arm injury this season, the senior from Deerfield Beach, Fla., also lined up at running back and receiver.
I never even heard about this--kind of amazing that an opposing fan didn't sniff out this news and post it earlier.

I hadn't heard about it either.

Apparently the 'opposing fans' on this site don't care about UM as much as you guys seem to think.

BTW, Cheaters!! Hoke should suspend him for this, IDC that it his last game. The only reason the guy is playing is because cause he's the only player on your team fast enough to beat LSU....

Oh, I know most of you don't care, but usually any time a Michigan player does something wrong, Spartan Pride posts a thread about it ... in large part because BHB does the same thing for MSU players.

Good thing we're playing South Carolina ...

... since I'm not sure we'd have any players fast enough to help us beat LSU.

They don't say why his license is suspended.

Just be glad you're not playing Wisconsin in your bowl game!

His license was first suspended in September 2010 after he violated the safety belt law and the costs accumulated until he finally paid them in January 2011. That led to a termination of his license.

Then he was pulled over in May 2011 and was cited for no proof of insurance and a violation of his graduated license permit.

That led to another termination of his license in July 2011, a case that was settled in September 2011. There is no indication on state driver’s license records that he had a renewed license.

Hmmm, so they chose to leave the part about the drugs, hookers, and poached animals that were in the car out of their story... Typical SI.

If it were drugs and hookers, he'd be going to Ohio State.
If it were poached (or live) animals, it would be Michigan State.
