Well today is our 31st anniversary, tomorrow Thanksgiving....and my wife's working Sun-Tue-Wed-Thur this week then 11 days vacation.

I'm having a Footballpalooza Thursday, woo-hoo, cigars and football.

We're having T-day Saturday with a 16# bird, ummmmm, turkey.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Not really traveling, just going over to one of my Aunt's place here in Omaha. Having T-day on Friday during the Husker game. Going to have two turkeys, one baked and one fried. And I won't have to cook a damn thing, so I can't complain.

Just finished a "turkey crawl" with a friend here @ Bagram. Started at 1130am, ended at 3pm. Three different DFACs (dining facilities) = North, Dragon, and Koele, for those who have been here. So...full. :P

Happy Thanksgiving, y'all!

I brined two small (5-7lbs. each) turkey breasts in apple sage spices overnight, and will put'em on my big Weber grill about noon today in advance of a 4:00 departure for dinner at the cousins....

Applewood smoke..basting with turkey/chicken stock--wish me luck!

Mega Gobbles to all the boys and girls who comprise the BTF menagerie!!...

Well I've never tried a fried turkey, have to try that sometime! I hear they're good.

Let me know how it comes out...and HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Definitely try it. They're the best, and its not even close... To the point that I don't even plan on touching the baked turkey until the fried-turkey is gone.

Fried turkeys also makes for better leftovers, if there is any left.

Happy Thanksgiving everybody!

Santa Moss just made an unreal TD-catch as I typed that. Lol at Dallas.

Well the wife worked 7-3:30 but my brother drove in from near Cleveland for the day, had a nice visit.

Wife came home and made her homemade baked mac & cheese, mmmmmmm, 3 cheeses, 2 macs, her home grown spices AND bread crumbs on top and bottom....fantastic!

Plus baked asparagus and tomatoes, great.

Friday taking her car in, Saturday TURKEY TIME, OH am I ready for that!!
