OT Jones: Surprised at the early offer. Size and athleticism but needs to put it together.

DE Marshall: Surprised he committed as early as he did. "Steal" out of Michigan.

RB Campbell: Speed. Pure speed.

CB Webb: MSU was the biggest threat. Glad to have him on board so early.

OT Trout: All Buckeye. Postion of need. Highly regarded. Win, win, win.

Beanie Ginn is on a distinguished road
Marshall visited MSU for the basketball game and is visiting Michigan soon. He has either recommitted, is a soft verbal, or never really had a commit-able offer to begin with.

Don't feed the lies. He had a commitable offer and he de-committed. Webb also did not have MSU second.

Disagree about Webb. Wholeheartedly. If he was going to be committed to anyone else this early it would be MSU.

De-committed from the Buckeyes! Visiting UM this weekend!

....I just want to make one point about Michigan HS players going to Ohio State: It will happen, I can foresee 1-2 players every year, going to Ohio State, out of Michigan. Urban Meyer is smart to do what Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame and others have been doing in Ohio for a long time. A lot of good players come out of the state of Ohio, and a lot of successful teams have been built with these players. Why wouldn't Meyer want to return the favor?

Michigan HS isn't as deep talent wise, but I am sure Ohio State will be recruiting the top5 or so players going forward. And it's my belief that Michigan kids that get recruited by Ohio State, take that has the highest compliment. And so it will not surprise me, to see a kid every now and again, jump to Ohio State just to be special, different, or to stand out from the crowd.

...to add. With Ohio being "weaker" than most years this year it makes even more sense to put the feelers out in Michigan.

Hate to say it, but I think the pecking order in the state of Michigan right now is this:

1. Michigan
2. Ohio State
3. Michigan State

(and I might even through ND in at #3)

Also, I've got to do some reading and catching up, but I think Michigan is higher on McDowell and Hand over Marshall.

That's fine. You're allowed to be completely and utterly wrong. You are 99% of the time anyways.

I would venture to say Notre Dame is ahead of MSU. In that, if they actually wanted someone besides a legacy over MSU, they'd get him.
