Props to Iowa who played us tough and almost won this game. The weather was a factor and definitely helped keep the score low.

Rex Burkhead coming into the game in the 2nd half provided a huge boost for us and also gave Wisconsin a little more to think about next week. I'm glad we survived and it actually became one more game to add to the list of 2nd half comebacks this year.

Bring on the Badgers!

This is one of the few games Iowa lost and should have won. They left at least two TD's on the field. Defense played like they have at times and should have played the whole season. But again... offensive play calling was fucking horrible. Especially in the 2nd half. I'm just glad this season is over. Good luck to Nebby the rest of the way. Ferentz needs to do some soul searching.

It didn't seem that either team wanted to win this game. Rex was our saving grace, the way he moved the pile, the 3 or 4 times that he did, made all the difference.

Good luck next season Iowa.

And good luck in the BTCG... you'd have thought Nebraska lost this game afterwards. None of them had as much to say after the game as they did before. Most I talked to were expecting what we were here... a blowout. It was a nice quiet train ride back to the car. Gave Nebraska fans time to think about what almost happened today and the Iowa fans time to think about where the 4-2 (2-0) start went and where the team goes from here.

I wish there was more games. I wish Iowa made a bowl. It's too early for college football to be over already for the Hawks, but it is.

On to next year. 9 months and 8 days for NIU @ Iowa.

If Rex was 100% all year, whoa baby, there would have been less close games and maybe an even better record.

Good luck Bo and the boys in the B1G final.

Definitely possible, AA is no slouch, but Rex's leadership and consistency can't be duplicated.... That 6 point loss to UCLA could've easily gone the other way if we had RB's leadership on the field. There's probably not much that he could've done about the game in Columbus, even if he played the whole game.

As of right now though, the teams we lost to are a combined 23-2. Will be 23-3 after UCLA loses tonight. It was a good season, and we're lucky to get through it the way we did, when our biggest weapon was sidelined.

I'm glad he's healthy for the final two games, even if he didn't play a huge role in getting us there this season, he's earned it over the past 4 seasons.

Im also looking forward to next season. Rex's injury forced others to step-up and the WR's, AA, & TM were all able to build some chemistry this season and should be able to tear it up next year. Can't wait.
